ARTWORK - ACCEPTABLE FILE FORMATS

We can accept artwork in the following formats.

	PDF	please ensure that pdfs are created press optimised (see pdf section)
	QuarkXpress	include all the necessary images and fonts (you can check this in picture usage)
	Illustrator	include necessary images and its easier if you convert all text to curves (once text is converted to outline there is no need to supply fonts)
	Photoshop	send us your tif, eps, jpeg files
	Pagemaker	include all fonts and images if not embedded
	Freehand	send along with all images and text turned to curves
	Corel draw	send with text turned to curves

Whenever sending files please bear these points in mind.

FONTS

Please send all necessary fonts, ensure that when supplying type 1 fonts that you include the screen and printer parts of the font.

COLOURS & COLOUR CORRECTION

When sending files it helps us if all the images are supplied in CMYK – if we receive RGB files, the colours may not come out as expected. If you want peace of mind we can supply a proof at minimum cost.

TRIMMING & IMAGE BLEED

When creating artwork please allow for 3mm bleed where colour or image goes off the edge of the page, this helps when we are trimming your job to the correct size the other thing to bear in mind is that any text is 3mm away from the trim again it makes it easier to trim.
